Dreaming Bigger with the Joy of Jazz

Responsive image

Our AFB families in New York had an absolutely spectacular time listening to ‘The Jazz Influence with Strings’, presented to us by the Composer's Concordance! Featuring violinist Jason Kao Hwang and horn player John Clark, this concert gave our children the opportunity to participate in an intimate gathering with incredible musicians. They were able to learn about the unique charm of each instrument, as well as how they can harmonize towards a greater melody. We would like to extend our gratitude to Composer’s Concordance for this wondrous occasion to introduce the charm of jazz music to our Free Birds! In June, A Free Bird focused on appreciating the universally beloved energy of music by attending several concerts and events focused on music and its transformative power as part of our Dream Big program. Music has a way of transcending boundaries, bringing people together, and offering solace and joy during difficult times. Through the support of generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and compassionate organizations like Composer's Concordance, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children affected by cancer!
