Celebrating Caribbean Culture Through Music

Responsive image

Our Free Birds had a wonderful Dream Big Outpatient event in Downtown Brooklyn, featuring the enchanting and soul-stirring concert presented by the Braata Caribbean Folk Singers. The children learned about the unique and dynamic folk music of Jamaican and Caribbean cultures as the performers graced the stage adorned in colorful and intricate traditional costumes, representing the history of their ancestors. The vibrant music and storytelling created an electrifying and heartwarming atmosphere for the children and families. We are grateful to the talented Braata Caribbean Folk Singers for creating the opportunity for our children to experience and appreciate a wider range of cultures. In the month of June, A Free Bird dedicated its efforts to celebrating the universal power of music. Through our Dream Big program, we gave our children access to a wide range of uplifting musical performances, giving them wonderful memories and inspirations. As we continue to support the art education of children affected by cancer, we remain committed to harnessing the power of the arts to bring hope, healing, and happiness to their lives!
